It has rained a lot here in NC and is supposed to rain some more. I do all my carvings outdoors, so it is time to work on doll stuff indoors. I have quite a bit of work left to do on my Topaz. She needs some elbows, hands and feet. Her neck joint is too thick.
I did get to make her some sugar skull and jingle bell earrings for a Christmas outfit I have been making her. I painted her some grey colored eyebrows because that goes with her own wig. I worked on her wig this week and still it's a work in progress. I gave her some eyelashes. I was going to go with white eyelashes but I think they are too light for her. She got auburn colored eyelashes instead.
I put a little notch over her nose so she can wear reading glasses. And I placed magnets inside her head to secure her earrings. I had planned the earrings way ahead. I bored holes large enough to hold the magnets right at the inside of her ear piercing. It's easy to see how much difference there is between the polished head and unpolished body. As soon as I finish shaping her, I'll polish her body.
