I got some micro lights from the Black Friday sales this week (finally). I think weather conditions delayed the shipment. I have never seen micro lights before, so this was better than candy for me.
It was a very tedious job, but I wound them around my log cabin dollhouse I built last spring. I started out with just a boring old house but added a porch and swing, and now Christmas lights. I found some super tiny tinsel and blinking Christmas trees at the Dollar Store that is great for 12th scale dollhouse decor.
I have a pink 12th scale Christmas tree for sale!
This blog is about doll collecting and arts and crafts. I mainly like keeping this blog for myself, but am happy to share with anyone interested in my adventures.

We're decorating for Christmas. Since I started building dollhouses, I have no room for a tree.
So we're decorating dolls and dollhouses for Christmas. This makes me feel all Christmasy. I got
my doll a blonde wig with some pink in it. I didn't see that it had pink when I got it, but it
I made the afghan in this photo when I was snowed in for several days. It is actually made with heavy cotton rug yarn, but is too nice to use for anything but maybe a photo. I made up my own poinsettia pattern for this one.
of Liv doll. I think she can wear the size that goes on Monster High and Bratz dolls. If you
aren't sure, you measure their head circumference like measuring for a hat. If the circumference
is between 5 and 6 inches, then the wig size is 5-6. I made her some jewelry this week also. I
love the golden, tans, browns and burgundy colors of fall. I think that is what I like about
making for dolls. Barbie pink is okay, but I have had enough of pink. I have listed things I
made on Amazon here Tammy Made It.

Moxie Teenz doll just moved in this week. I am going doll crazy. I am the beauty pageant judge of a bunch of dolls now. It started out I just wanted to make things on different scales. Then I became fascinated with all the dolls. I collected a few porcelain dolls many years ago and then forgot all about it. Now I'm back for good.
Moxie Teenz dolls are no longer made, I got one used. She came nude with no hair. First thing I did was try a Delilah Noir wig on her. The wig is a little too large but helps me decide what color and style of hair I will get for her. Moxie wears larger shoes than Barbie. I put Isul Pullip boots on her, wich are large too. I dressed her in a boyish Ken outfit, which means she is a creative soul. The Ken vest is her photographer's vest.

I crocheted a hat for MIM Gooreau doll but it did't fit with the wig too. I knew one doll would get it. The hat fits Moxie well. I crocheted a scarf for Tonner Tyler and it works too. I really need to make a matching set too.

New BJD to Make Doll Stuff For Her
I got this beautiful new 23" Ball Jointed Doll (BJD) doll this past week. I haven't had an opportunity to make her clothes and buy her wigs yet. So, I have put her in some handmade American Girl (AG) doll hand-me-downs. The AG clothes are loose and short for her but it will do for now. The AG dress is short like a blouse and the leggings are short like capris. I had some AG shoes that didn't fit well on AG Julie, but they fit this doll as long as they have straps across the top, because AG girl has wider feet. The straps help tighten the shoes. The AG girl clothes just make her look so playful like she has on her sister's hand-me-downs.
She is playing with a Littlest Pet Shop Blythe doll, wearing Barbie glasses. I have ordered a neo Blythe doll and I thought it would look cute for my BJD to have her own Blythe. I changed the doll's focus to look directly at me. I like that better than the far off stare she had. Something about the eyes and being able to change them really matters to me. The eyes should focus on what she is doing.
This doll is strung with elastic, poseable, stands on her on, can wear new eyes, new wigs and different shoes like high heels or flats. The feet have springs in the toes so her feet are adjustable, but the springs are so tight I couldn't manage them with my fingers. But as soon as I slipped on the heeled shoes, they fit perfect. I am not that good at posing dolls, because I just got into this type of doll in recent months. Posing them is fun as you get more experienced. Frustrating if you don't try it out enough. It is time consuming to work with these dolls.
I have been building doll houses this year, since the winter storm Jonas. I fell down brick stairs on a solid sheet of ice. I was lucky I just got battered and not broken. But the building has helped me get my full range-of-motion and stay active and heal. Once I got started building, I got hooked.
I had a dollhouse in progress in my kitchen when I got this doll. I don't have a dollhouse for any dolls bigger than 12th scale, but my new BJD went right over and got mini Blythe out and decided the new dollhouse is hers for her Blythe.
I think I will name my new girl Little T. I will buy her some hair that looked like mine when I was a little girl--short white dutch boy style with bangs--or maybe blonde. Would she be cute?

I also really like the range-of motion for these dolls. Her head looks up to me and down to her doll.
