I got a Moxie Girlz doll on sale for 7 bucks. I was curious about the sizes of fashions they wear. A lot of doll clothes can be shared with other dolls like Bratz or Barbie. I really didn't like the fact that she came with huge duck like feet. It was an easy fix though. I used a sanding band on my Dremel to shape her feet down to a smaller Blythe like size so she could wear the Blythe shoes. Note: Be careful of the hot flying rubbery particles, because they burn skin. Now I think she is very cute. For 7 bucks I wouldn't be too nervous about changing anything on the doll.
I noticed right away that the only way to get a large selection of shoes and clothes is to collect the dolls. They aren't very expensive but it adds up to a lot of dolls when all you want is the fashions.
The Blythe shoes are so sweet. They remind me of the Peanuts cartoons. The tennis shoes are big like the feet were and help with standing the Moxie Girlz doll.
The Moxie Girlz doll has knees that bend. Her shoulder joints are able to move straight out to the sides also. That's pretty good for a very inexpensive doll. Her hair was stiff right out of the package. The plastic staples that held her in are still protruding from the back of her head. I combed her hair and it is layered so that it doesn't really make for a good braid. I had just found a package of tiny little pony tail holders and put one in her hair to hold it in place while I dress her. I put a vintage handmade Barbie jumpsuit on her just because it is red and so are the shoes. It's a little big on her but looks comfy.
